Souper Kitchen

Every Thursday evening, 7-8pm at Christ Church

Southport could probably be described as a reasonably affluent town, yet each Thursday evening more than 40 people, impoverished and some homeless, visit our church Supper Club for a hot meal.

The Bible teaches us, in Matthew’s gospel, to ‘feed the hungry.’  That is our primary goal – to serve and feed those who are hungry, giving people the dignity and respect that they deserve.

Our Souper Kitchen opens each Thursday evening between 7 and 8pm and is held in the church Vivesco café area. We provide a hot three-course meal for anyone requiring food. In addition to the provision of a meal, we also provide clothing, sleeping bags, toiletries and, perhaps most importantly, we seek to show God’s love by being ‘a listening ear’ to those requiring our support.
